Sure -- is it a nice round hole? If so, you can plug it with an alder plug. If it's not quite round, you can make is slightly larger (and round) and then plug it.

Don't use common caulking (unless it is actually roofing cement in a tube); that's an amateur fix and a temporary one at best.

It was this stuff... am I gonna have to get back up there again? Confused ...
