The depth is standard, but they are definitely larger in the other two dimensions...I'm betting they sound great (that V30 probably sounds better than the GT12, too).

Random note: I always though t ...

I like the white baffle with black tolex. Classy looking. 1x12s are fantastic speakers to play with. For a live performance, more speakers tends to sound "bigger," but for recording, home pl ...

This may be late, but here's a thread with another forum member selling several amps. Pretty solid price on the MTS head, given what I'm seeing elsewhere online. This doesn't fix the need for a 212 ca ...

I think the pedals were out in the early 2000s time period. They were interesting, though I never had the money to buy 'em, and then they were gone. I think they were out from '02 to '04.

I play DR tite fits mostly, which are a round core string, and they will unravel a bit when trying to do that. I tried once with them, and basically ruined a set of strings. My resolution is to simply ...

A late reply from me, but here goes....

Mine weighs a scant 5.5 pounds (unchambered, mahogany and maple). I went with the original neck-thru model (Vader). I like neck-thru, and the body shape is ...

The SCB is the only neck thru of all those mentioned. I'm not thrilled by its shape. Don't care for the CS, CT, or SH models. They're neat, but I prefer the shape of the DC series with shorter scale. ...

I know they were shipping some briefly, before the factory closed, and some during, but they were never on sale (always $500 a pop).

If I can eventually find one cheaply, I mig ...

Are you speaking of a literal amp model, or of the company?

Carvin Audio (the company took that name post split) closed and reopened its doors, but only to sell pedals. Thus far they have the VLD1 ...

Oh, yeah, not a bad idea. I know on the Carvin audio forums someone said they tried two and both were noisy, but the rest of the reviews seem positive. Instant Legacy....just add power amp.

I totally understand that hunt, and I think it changes from day to day, or hour to hour as ear fatigue sets in Razz

I'll at least say that Carvin made the VL212 a sane weight for its performance. Min ...

You still have the Legacy combo, right?

An idea / suggestion (having owned one) is to snag an attenuator or loadbox so you can run it how you like, and have reasonable output, or have a master volu ...

Bumping this, as it sits in its case, and has for a while. I take it out to be sure there's no corrosion gathering, and that's it. I'd love for it to go to a good home.
