Thanks Tammy! I am willing to play bass on some but just needed to know which ones. Which version of Martian boogie is it? The one I have has an extended slide solo on it. |

I hope you will play bass on Martian Boogie, emux2!
I am gonna have enough trouble covering the Martian vocals!
The version I am working with is about 7 minutes long, I don't remember there being another version of this song but I may be mistaken. |

I had hoped to do bass on that one. I have thier greatest hits. I will rip it to mp3 and send it to you and you could let me know if it is the same one. I first heard this song at my aunts house in a 45 and that one was a little different than the one I got now. I think I could help with vocals if needed. |

We gonna need all the help we can get!
And on a side note....
I am still planning on bringing my P.A. but I do not have floor monitors or an amp to run them, if any one wants to bring floor monitors then we will need another amp.
And I am counting on Riv to bring his P.A. snake, OK Riv? |

We need to discuss how much of my PA stuff I need to bring. I was planning to bring it all I guess.

I plan on sending out the Blues set CD's and lyrics next Friday, so keep on the lookout for them. I'm sending them to Riv, PEB, Jointus, my friend who will hopefully make it to play drums, and I'll send a set to emux if he'll PM me his address. |

Well, it looks like you've got FOH covered. If we hook in my feedback destroyer we can probably set your speakers behind the mics so we can use them for monitors too.
I can bring part or all of my stuff too if needed. I have the two 2x15 P.A. speakers, a 450 watt per channel amp, a 12 channel mixing board, an effects unit, the feedback destroyer, a midi sound module (we may need this for certain drum parts, like the drums on "Freewill"), one microphone and stand, etc. |

There is also a pair of wedge monitors on the floor you don't see in those pics!! I'll bring them, too!!.
You should bring all that stuff!! We probably won't need the 12 channels, but who knows. My mixer is only 8. |

Got mine today. Thanks! Looks like you put in quite a bit of work to do those. Any idea who is planning on playing what song? |

Yikes! I'd better get on the stick and get them finished! October isn't too far away! |
how is it that the people most involved with this do not live in texas? |

What are you talking about? I secure the place it's held...get the food ordered, keep up interest in the threads, set up the blues setlist, compile the songs and lyrics and send them out. Jointus is involved in a bunch of the stuff regarding the classic rock and funk sets as well as providing a lot of the PA equipment we'll use this year. Randy (carvinaddict) would be more involved, but he can't make it this year. All of us live in Texas. |

We don't have anything set on who is playing what. We'll usually have one person sing and take turns on the solo. Each person will play like 12 bars on the solo, then the next person, etc...
We just have fun...no cutting heads or trying to outplay each other. I should have sent you a copy of the DVD's from last year so you can see how we did it. I'll try to send you a copy this week, okay? I think you'll enjoy it. |
