Since I just bought a bike, and I saw emux's Victory (sweet), and I know a couple other people here are riders, I thought I'd start a bike thread.

Mine:

It's a 2010 Honda Shadow Phantom. 750cc, fuel injection, shaft drive. Classic "bobber" styling. I added the sissy bar (for Holly) and put new tires on it. Now I'm looking for saddlebags. And then a boulevard windshield. Then a light bar. You know how that goes...

So, chime in - what's everyone else riding?

Here's my 2001 Buell S3T. It's been down with fuel injector problem for a couple weeks, but at least I have the use of my wife's bike while I'm waiting on parts.

My wife's bike is the 2001 Yamaha Roadstar in this picture:

Here's one from about 2 years ago. Currently I have my summer shield on, and I really need to wash/polish thing thing too.

Seriously thinking about upsizing, but I hate most of the selection available in the US market. Most of the cruisers are too low and too bulky and ponderous to drive. I think I may end up having to go Suzuki, as they are the only ones who still make real "standard" motorcycles, and also have a GREAT selection of luggage racks, saddlebags, etc.

The phantom is actually the only bike that honda makes now that really appeals to me. I wish they would bring back the Shadow Spirit 1100, or make the 750's all have fuel injection. It really helps with the power as well as fuel economy.

of course, what I really want, is this:
http://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles/naked/#!/cbf1000/

or this:
http://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles/naked/#!/cbf1000f/

or this
http://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles/naked/#!/cb1300s/

or maybe even this:
http://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles/adventure/#!/xl1000v/

Honda HAS good standard and touring options but they won't bring them over the the US because nothing sells here but crotch rockets and wannabe harleys. GRR.

From the factory, they actually used an old 50's bobber for the design:

On a weekend roadtrip
:

Yeah, sometimes riding isn't as fun as other times...

The yellow 2000 Honda VFR on the right is mine. The 2000 Kawasaki ZX6 on the left is the wife's ride. Only took a year after I married her to corrupt her into riding. Now, 16 years later, I'm still trying to figure out how to get her to take up playing guitar...

Easy, for X-mas, get her a CD collecion of female musicians, say, Vixen, Lita Ford, Kitty...etc. Once she hears how great chicks do, she'll get the addiction too... Yeah!

I've done a little work on mine since I first got it - new mirrors, deflector, & saddlebags. About the only thing that's left is a light bar for the front.

And now Holly has the bug - she's thinking about picking up a Rebel or something similar next spring. I think she just wants to be cool like me. Tongue Spin

I've had so many bikes & scooters since 1953 it would bore most of you, and all the pix would choke your server.

For any who are still interested here's a link to my two-wheeled life:

That's a lot of bikes!

Maybe I should have included my unicycle?
