We were invited to be part of a big rally/benefit on July 6 in Moore Oklahoma for the tornado victims. This could be a really awesome thing to help people who need it. More details as I get them...

Congrats, T. It may be a few hours drive from y'all, but could be well worth it, when you consider the good it might bring to the victims of those storms. It will also get you guys a lot of exposure and it could lead to even more incredible works for you. I'm guessing your church might even help y'all raise the necessary traveling (and possible overnight lodging) costs to help get you guys and your message out there.

Congratulations, Terry! That's a wonderful opportunity to do just what you started the band for. A little closer to home, is anyone doing something like that for West or Granbury? The way things are going this year you guys could have a pretty steady schedule.

Good luck and keep up the good works.

I'm not sure where it is, and it's all in jeopardy now. Apparently the head guy putting it together says that the music has to be on the evening of Friday, July 5 now. I'm not sure if everyone in my band can make it. I'm hoping that we all can still make it because it could be a pretty big deal in exposure if nothing else for my band...not to mention that it's for a great cause.

I'll update with more info as I get it...

Well with my bandmates spread out so much we can only practice once a week, so no mistakes will be next to impossible. My main concern is being able to make it now that they're trying to change the date, then as long as we can make it I'm going to play hard and have fun...

Remember .... if you do make a mistake, play it the same way again. They'll think it's jazz.

Well things have changed and now they're saying that we'll be playing on the evening of Friday, July 5 instead of July 6. So far it's all still good for us to go and play, but I'm waiting for things to be finalized and get all the details.

Terry,

Is this in conjunction with the benefit Toby Keith is throwing on July 6th in Norman? If so, dude, take the day off if you need to. Other headliners include Garth brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Ronnie Dunn and Willie Nelson. Could be epic. Just sayin'... .

I think that's only "indirectly" so, Rick. T said they wanted to change HIS show's date to the 5th. I'm guessing the date change is so it doesn't interfere with the bigger show you noted on the 6th. And let's face it -- most people would choose the bigger concert if both were the same night.

I might be wrong, but I don't think I'm far off.

Yeah, like Paul said...we have had to move ours to July 5. Still waiting for more details to say that can go for sure.

I'm not a country fan, but if Toby Keith wants to open for us that would be fine I guess... Laugh Hard

Oh, man, why don't you reach out to him and make him an offer he can't refuse! I almost wet myself on that one, T. Applause

Hey, he's a nice guy, can't hurt to ask. And Willie, heck he'll play with anyone he gets a chance to.
Could Happen, just sayin'... .

OK, got some info on the rally/benefit that The Righteous Blues Band may be playing at on July 5 in Oklahoma.

Looks like the church hosting the concert is actually in OKC. Here's a link to the church site...

http://thegatechurch.tv/

The Rally is at a Harley Dealership in Moore. You can see on the event page for July 5. It's called the Bikers & Moore Liberty Rally.

LINK

Looks like the concert will start at 6:00.

Wow...unbelievable video.

I won't be going to the Harley dealership. I'll be going straight to the church and try to be there when they say we'll be able to go in and start setting up since we'll probably be the first band playing. I'll let you know more as I get it...
