So, seems like compared to years ago, this place has become pretty desolate. I hope it's just because people have moved on, and not because they have passed on. Just a thought, as it seems there are memorial posts at a lot of forums I post at these days.

I hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying life, and playing music.

Can't speak for everyone else, but I need that Bolt in your avatar. I got recruited by a Country band that's going places, and while I've been able to tame the V3 for this gig...

My son owns Porkchop now. Can't take the first Carvin Dragonburst CT6M on the road.
Can't take the Nelson Contour 66 on the road. Not gonna risk losing a family heirloom that is priceless to us Bundys.
I'm fightin' it with the DC747. Need a Bolt! Razz Wink

The bolt is still, IMHO, the best value guitar that carvin makes. Great sounds, great price. It's the only carvin guitar I still have actually. I have 4 basses, but just the one guitar.

I really need to get a DC-something, or maybe another bolt with two twin blades and a C22B in the bridge, and a twang bar.

A guy has a beautiful fixed bridge SSH C66 on the Gear Page right
now for $750. Nice price. Has a really nice top.

^^^Wow that's an awesome guitar for the price. I've used my C66 for practice (same pickup config) and I can nail that Country twang with ease. When Carvin guitars hit that sweet spot in switch positions 2 & 4 I just lose my mind in those killer tones.

I am on here a lot. Just no one else is. LOL I still keep this as my "come home" home. Too many people that I have gotten to know over the years to just ignore them. Yeah, there isn't much activity, but that is OK with me.

Sorry to be so... well, distant... this crazy thing called: "Life" keeps getting in my way.... Wife and I inherited three grand-daughters, and that takes an incredible amount of time and energy.... Just keeping on keeping on...

I check in here once a month or so. I think Facebook has taken a lot of the traffic away. This is the most decent forum for guitars and amps I've had the pleasure to be a part of.

I'm guilty of being an infrequent visitor, but probably because it seems like it can go months without anybody posting on here. Still, I love to check in when I think of it.

Still kicking here. Playing more than I have in years. I try to check in a few times a month but the traffic here has really dropped off. I can't remember the last time anyone was in chat.

I would agree that facebook has taken away a lot of traffic from web forums such as this. If you just want to post pictures and talk about random things, it's a much better "forum", if you will.

The carvin.. erm Keisel forum is still going, and Carvin amps has their own forum now. I can't for the life of me figure out why they didn't just clone the database, and erase the guitars from one, and the amps from another. A lot of knowledge was lost during that.
