I saw this guitar posted on CL near me. Looks like a CM 140 and It appears to have a 3 way and 3 mini's on it. Does anyone have one of these who can tell me what the three Mini's do? It also has either a piezo or stereo outputs... Also is $250 a good price for it?

I emailed these questions to the seller and am waiting for a reply but can anyone on here help me out?

My best guess (educated, at that Wink ) at those minis would be two coil splitters and a phase switch. Two volume knobs and a master tone. Stereo outputs would allow you to put each pickup into a different amp.

That's exactly right!

The top is a phase switch, the other two are coil splits.

I still have my black 1980 CM140 that I ordered new. I believe it is one of the first set neck models, as the catalog I ordered from still showed a bolt on when I placed my order. Served me well for 100's of gigs, and is now retired, but still perfectly playable.

My current Carvin Stable: 2 SH225's, CC275, CM140

I have owned 2 DB612's, DC150, AE185 Koa, and a NS1 Koa
