I'd thought about getting a fretless for a while, but never quite got motivated. A local player had been advertising this LB70 on and off for a while, probably years, and I finally decided to bite, and I'm glad I did. It's in GREAT shape, and has most of the options I would have gotten had I ordered one new.

Color: Pearl Blue
Line and Marked Ebony Fretboard
Stock H50N pickups
Active Electronics with optional Mid control
Dunlop Straplocks
Wilkinson Bridge

This really is a great bass. The Preamp has the optional Mid Control, but it's kinda weird since it doesn't have the center detent like the one on my B4A. The pot used is a stereo pot too, so I guess they made changes to the optional mid control between the late 90s and 2002 when the B4A was made.

Personally, I don't know why Carvin went to the 18V preamps. I like the sound and adjustments of the old 9V preamp better. I never felt that it lacked headroom.
