Bundy might be a man of few words, but I'm guessing he missed a step in the cut and paste process. So, I found this edition from 2002. -- Paul
T’was the night before Christmas, on South Main Street,
Bundy was chillin’, ‘cause his son was asleep.
He was dreaming of Santa, and stuff like that,
I’s hopin’ the fat dude would bring me a new hat.
My old Carvin brim, purty it ain’t,
Spotted with drywall, sawdust, and paint.
(Gotta wear my colors, to work ya know,
So folks who want pro gear—know where to go!)
I’m strummin’ my 747, the guitar unplugged,
When I heard a commotion, is someone getting mugged?!
First was a crash, a boom, then a bang,
On top of my house, and I exclaimed “Dang!”
I opened the window, “What the hell’s going on?!”,
There’s boxes and sled parts all over my lawn!
So this guy falls from the roof, and lands with a thud,
Poor fool landed in this big patch of mud.
Laughing my arse off, in spite of myself,
‘Til I saw it was Kringle, that jolly old elf!
He said “I wrecked my sleigh, lost the boots off my feet,
And my Carvin toys are all over the street!”
“Whoa! Carvin!” I said, “This gonna be cool!”,
Seeing all these boxes would make any Carvinite drool!
So I gave him some work boots, and then we began,
To put all the stuff in his ride again.
And when we were finished, and he was ready to go,
He said “You’ve been good this year, Bundy. That much I know.”
I said “Sh!ttin’ me, Santa! Who me? You’re nuts!
What I lack in brains, I make up for in guts.
C’mon inside, I’ll give you a treat,
Got a Carvin stack that can’t be beat!”
So Claus came inside, plugged in the 'Porkchop' CT,
Turned my V3 on eleven, I said “Hey, man! Easy!”
Musta been around midnight by the stroke of the clock,
This elf dude tuned up and started to rock.
Man! He had riffs, licks, and finger-tapping too,
I was freakin’ amazed by the time he was through!
So I’m standing there speechless, when I thought he was done,
He blasted off on a diminished run.
Handed me the guitar, said “There ya go, son.
You learn that scale, ‘fore the night is done.”
“OK Santa, I’ll learn it, you’ll see.
I’ll practice all night, but what’s in it for me?”
“Ho ho ho,” said the elf, with a wink in his eye,
In a second he was gone without saying goodbye.
“No, wait!” I shouted; too late, he was gone,
So I worked on that scale, went to bed about dawn.
When I woke up, it was almost midday,
I remembered last night, and then exclaimed “Hey!”
I ran to my stack, just as I left it,
Something was different, I think y’all guessed it.
On top of my amp, where my guitar picks are at,
Was a brand new Carvin graphite-colored hat!
I grabbed the new cap, and put it on my head,
Reached for a guitar, and started to shred.
I’ll play Carvin gear, for the rest of my days----and……
Merry Christmas to all Carvinites, from Bundy------
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! |

Still a great post! Carvin may technically be no more, but this place still lives on. Maybe we'll see more traffic here now that people with carvin amplifiers don't really have any alternative. |
