Can anyone help me figure out how to patch these older Carvin PA cabs? I didn't get any info with them and have been able to use them by sending the powered mixer outs to the sub in's and then used the ext. out to the horn amp in but it's confusing to see these extra inputs

Powered amp out to horn crossover "amp input". Jumper cable from "woofer 12db OCT" to bottom cabinet "amp in".

Crossover in the horn delivers lo freq. to bottom cabinet.

Bottom cabinet is basically a full range cabinet. But with the crossover being used, the crossover distributes dedicated frequencies to the proper driver; highs to the horn lows to the bottom.

The way you are using it, the bottom cabinet is reproducing all frequencies (within the physical limitations of the driver), including high frequencies that are also being produced by the horn. Not what you want to do and may make eq settings difficult. Also, your powered mixer is expecting to "see" a certain resistance for optimum performance and you may be damaging the mixer's amplifier.

The fuse blocks in the crossover (horn, woofer) are in the speaker network only when you are bi-amping.
