Hello all!

Finally managed to nab a DN640 in beautiful shape, off Reverb. Somewhere along the line, it looks like the brass nuts were replaced with, probably tusq? They're black and synthetic but don't look to be plastic. The nut on the bass is such that it interferes with the truss rod nut. It's actually flush with one of the nut sides. I'd like to see how the original nut was placed so I can fix this situation. Would someone be kind enough to post a pic of their '86 bass truss rod nut? It'd be much appreciated!

Whoa! Did they deepen the channel for the nut? or maybe they made it thicker? Definitely sounds weird. You might want to post this over at the Kiesel forum as well.

No, it doens't look like they altered the channel - comparing it to my DN612. It looks like a straight drop in.
