Well I got an e-mail from Delta today...he won't be able to make it this year either. His work load and stuff going on at home is keeping from making it this year. He hopes to make it next year...

We'll miss ya this year Mike... Sad

I am trying to figure out which version of Martian boogie you guys have. Their greatest hits has a different version than the one I used to have on 45. It has a longer slide solo in it. I still think I can be ready for the bass on that one.

The one I am working with is the long version. I can cover bass on that one if need be sooooo, no worries. Smile

OK, I checked and the Bridgeport Best Western is like 32 dollars higher than the Decatur one.
Looks like we will be doing Decatur again!
And besides, Frilly's Seafood Bar and Grill is right next door! Mr. Green

Aw, Man!!! Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I've been meaning for weeks now to ask if anyone had heard from Delta. I've even been thinking about calling him myself.

I'm really sorry he can't make it.

Hi guys! Sorry I can't make it this year. With my boss and his boss no longer working in my chain, my work has been stressful to say the least. I'm hoping to make it next year, but there's something on the horizon now that may be a major change for me and my family. Have fun!

Yes sorry to say I won't be there. I am in a band now and we have a gig that day!

Jointus, I'm playing bass in this new band I'm in! Can you believe it? They called me up out of the blue and wanted to know if I'd try out. So I learned about eight of thier songs (all origianls) and went over, played them, and they said you got the job! Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that I'd be playing Bass in a Band!!

So I have gone over to the Dark Side! Laughing

Sure thig Delta. Just let me know when it looks like a good day for us. We can drive to your place and have a Ball! Or we can meet at CA's place and cut down on drive time. Hotels will most liely be cheaper around CA than by your house.

I'm up for CA's place as it is most central for all of us. Of course, that means we're inviting ourselves. Twisted Mr. Green

I mentioned this briefly, but due to an absolutely enormous canine veterinary bill, I won't be going anywhere, anytime soon. Other than work, grocery shopping and gigs.

So not only will I miss this Texas Bash, but a long-time friend in Fort Worth (where I was going to stay after the bash) was hoping that I would drop by and layout/spray some tribal flames on his son's show-car. They have been working on this car all year, in hopes of winning a trophy.

But I have no choice, my dogs, all 4 of them, are part of the family, as I don't have any kids. Even my relatives call them the "grand-dogs".

Hopefully the next time .......

Lucky you will be missed! Hopefully you can make it to next year's bash!
Best wishes to Mana and her family! Smile

And now on another note:
I finally bought another laptop computer, the three that I had before were stolen in June, but I cannot find my midi interface device (in case we need to run midi drum files).
Does anyone that is coming have a serial, USB, or firewire midi interface device that they could bring?

OK, I made some extra money so I can now afford to pick up another midi interface.......so, never mind.
And yup, I just figured out that my old midi interface was in the same case as one of the laptops that was stolen from me Mad Mad Mad

At the SE bash's we did a swap meet thing where if you had something to sell or trade you put it on a table with the price. Is this kind of thing ok at the Texas bash? I have a few things that I have been meaning to put on ebay but haven't found the time so I figured I would see if anyone there is interested.

Sounds great! I'll bring my homebrew amp if anyone is interested in buying it or trading for it.

What are you going to bring to trade/sell?

Well, I have a squire strat with a carvin loaded pickguard or w/the stock pups and the loaded pickguard seperate.

I am strongly considering selling my SX300 with FS44. You have seen it before, I bought it from Nightrain.

I have a Line 6 AX2 2x12 cab that I might bring. It is just the speaker cab as I sold the amp out of it last year. I am starting to run out of room in the car though so I am not sure if I will bring it or not.

I have some small stuff too: recessed side amp handles still in the bag, A couple of guitar handers, C26T.
