I'd start on it now. Don't wait for the other guy. I'm sure your styles are different enough that you won't play the same riff. And if you do, so what? It'll sound cool anyway. Kind of like variations on a theme.

I've already started and will probably (prolly for some) be done before it is my time.

Just my thoughts.

Nah, you can take longer if needed, Speedy can download the MP3 and start working on his time slot without your being done. However since you where the first out of the gate on this your slice ended up being the smallest...49 seconds. Just shred a couple of good riffs in there Guitar

You can download the file now and start on your part if you wish, or wait until Chunga is done by the 12th and download it from the website then. You know where your time slot is so whatever works best for you. Some of the guys are going to start working on there parts already.

Exactly! As long as everyone keeps in mind that if the push their solo to the last second the next guy if going to have to come in and either blend in or at the minimum be in the same key. I would cut it off a couple of seconds before the end time, I can work some magic with editing if need be. In your case Brian you drew the "bring it on home" position so give it all you got.

I will be watching for your emails.

Thanks for letting me in!

I will be working on my part now (with a non Carvin, though...)

My Carvin is being tweaked right now by my local guitar tech to get the action lower. (I've never worked on a floyd!!)

SOOOO,

I'll get my Carvin back on Monday (Aug. 7th,) and haul ass recording, then e-mail it back to you on the 8th.

It is fun for sure, I have done it a few times with people from as far away as New Zealand (BTW those guys can rock too). If this goes well and there remains interest I have literally 20+ backing rhythm tracks that I have not added leads or keys yet to so I could easily add another.

I want to wait to see how this one goes first; it will be fun to hear the different styles from us Carvin players as well as to see the credits and what gear they used.

This backing track we are working on isn't anything special but I have a feeling it will turn into something good, most of my music is really Pink Floyd like but I still the rock stuff.

Keep an eye on the thread.

I'm done with my part. I'm emailing it now. It feels like teeing off first at golf.
The eyes (in this case ears) are upon me. Very Happy

Tony was thinkin' Frampton. Wink I tried to play over it and decided I'd be better off hacking on the bass tonight. *changes amps, guitars*

Hey Bundy you want to do the bass part?? It would be easy to delete the original bass part if you want it. I didn't put to much thought when I added bass to the track. BTW the track sound a little bit like old Ratt to me.

Got both your files KOR (the upload worked) Very nice playing with nice tone. OK Speedy your turn, KOR is setting the bar kinda high.

I got KOR's files and it came out great in the mix. With recording the solo into the original track and sending me a seprate file of just the solo the timing was easy to get right.

You can go over to the instructions page and listen to v.2
