Figuring that you left a few months ago, they, Carvin, HAD to be in the semi-final stages of working on these projects by then.

Carvin reps and spokespersons have continually said that they CANNOT alter production without EXTENSIVE research, CNC programming, jigs, procurement, etc.

I figure that this reissue project must have started right after NAMM 2006.
But bringing it to reality in one year is still a great accomplishment.

Does this mean that a BASS is on the horizon.......

There might be a couple others (Holdsworth), but after seeing them again those are 2 designs, especially the V220, that scream CARVIN!

Glad to see them make a comeback, hope they stay around for a while.

(Not to rain on the parade, but I just wish they had Kahlers too. - Yeah, I know the story - unreliable supplier, etc. The Floyd ought to work just fine though. This ought to be interesting, espcially with todays available options/colors! Twisted )

Well, I just told mine. I've been asking for this for so long I'd be ashamed of me if I didn't order.

I just hope they get it right. Pray

I wonder what the chances would be of getting a reversed Ultra V body with a reversed inline 6 headstock............

then I would buy one.

The new ones are actually alder, not poplar. The 90's versions, which were neck-thru, were poplar.

As long as *someone's* gonna do it. Yeah!

V's aren't really my thing, but I'm really looking forward to seeing you guys start posting pics of your new ones. Cool

(Oh, and Kevio, two words: diamond inlays!)

Wow guess I just crawled out from under the rock.

What great news!!!

I will have to make payments if thats what it takes.

No diamond inlays for me tho It reminds me of the cheap imports when they first started making them with the diamond inlays.

Solid finish W/trem Stainless frets and regular dots.I don`t want the fanciest one I just want one.

While these are nowhere near my cup of tea, I gotta give big props to Carvin for listening to what they're customers were asking for and giving it to them.

I'll take a V220 in pearl pink with black painted headstock, black hardware, black p'ups, and maybe the new diamond inlays.
Think Alder? Or go with maple as in the original?
Think C22B & C22J or retro-ish with the M22SD & M22V or N?
Think To trem or not to trem?
Think Where am I going to get the money? Shocked

Hey, that's cool. I'll be interested if they do a V440. How well did the V220/V440 balance? In my experience the V (not the Carvin) doesn't balance well at all.

My V440T balances extremely well. That was one of the selling points back in the day. The V220 and V440 are practically the only eighties-radical shape that balances worth a damn whether sitting on your leg or hanging from a strap.

Other than the diamond inlays, I got what you are looking for. Very Happy
