I need a headstock logo for my Carvin kit, as I am finishing it up completely within the next month (new sperzels, pickups, logo, body..)

Anyone know where to order one? And does anyone know which FONT the Carvin logo is in? maybe I can find a local shop that can print me off a vinyl decal.. if I knew which font to use.

Any ideas? Thanks

I'm pretty sure it's Times New Roman...And also pretty sure you can't get one from Carvin...

I tried times-roman before and it didnt seem right.. I guess i'll try it again and see.

alternately, What do you guys feel is the best looking logo color/style over a plain maple headstock?

That depends on the rest of the guitar...hardware, fretboard, body color/wood, etc.

The font is close to Zaph Calligraphic 801 - that's what I used for my Bolt+ kit -

I used thin clear plastic "water slide" paper meant for printing with laser printers. They make them for ink jet, too.

Careful, I believe that logo and name are copyrighted/trademarked. It would be illegal to print.

Trademark would only be an issue if you trying to sell guitars.

Yes, but that is usually not enforced by most companies unless you are using it to make a profit off their name.

Print your own logo though.

Close, but not it. Notice that the C has up and down ticks on the top serif. The Carvin font only has a downward tick on the top serif.

Yeah, you're right. I'd like to know what the exact font is. I'm quite curious now. Think

Don't you be sellin' any fakes on eBay now... Shame on you

Book Antiqua font in bold italic.

*Now* go do your letter "C" adjustments (step the size up).

Think

It's close. But there are still subtle differences. I'm willing to bet it was a commissioned font, as most professional logos are. Oh well.

If they made it from a scanned logo, they are in violation of trademark laws by selling you the logo.

Actually they made it and sent it too me for nothing from a picture I provided.
You got issue with it take it up with them!
It's on a Carvin guitar I'm not mis-resenting anything. Besides the guitar is not for sale.
How can they sell Gibson, Fender etc?
