Two years ago today, at 6PM on October 13, 2007, I married my soulmate - you all know her on the web as soundchick. I can honestly say that life really became worth living the day she came into my life. It's been an awesome experience working together to build a life and a future - I have never before experienced giving and receiving totally unconditional love.

The wedding was made even more special by the participation of two of our very own Carvinites, padams (aka MrMason) and Riviera2dice. Perry played much of the prelude music for us (which included selections of Journey, Godsmack, and SRV) and did a breathtaking rendition of DMB's "Dream Girl" for the processional. Perry and Ron performed The Eagles "Love Will Keep Us Alive" for the wedding song (sorry to make you sing it after listening to the vows Ron, but it's a very special song). Among the cherished momentos are the picks and crib sheets they used, and a remix they did of the song, which is just too special to share this year, so from The Eagles' Farewell I :

(Raises a champagne flute)

Two flames.....one light. Happy anniversary, my love. Here's to the rest of our lives together, each day more wonderful than the day before.

I love you; Heart, Mind, Body and Soul.

peb

Hey, Peb -- I remember your wedding being a topic of discussion and congratulations here on the forum at the time. You can't run a marathon without first learning how to walk. Some of us might be at the 25- or 35-year mark, but all of us had those first and second anniversaries. You sound like you share the same feelings for soundchick at two years that Nola and I have after 35.

Congrats, indeed! I hope Nola and I will get to meet you guys at the Texas Bash next month (my first) on the 14th.

Meanwhile (even though I'm not the religious type), I'd like to paraphrase something I've heard many times in church: "This is the day the Lord has made" for YOU two! It is truly a blessing to find your soul mate.

Congrats, again.

Paul

Heartfelt congratulations, you two! It was so apparent two years ago what a special relationship you have. May there be many, many more anniversaries to come.

I've always been impressed and amazed at any couple who lasts so long! Congrats to you both....obviously you both have been blessed.

For the longest time (approx. 20 years) I said, "no wife, no kids, no pets". I'm 49 now.

I have been reluctant to announce but I'm trying again....for a little over the last 6 months I've been trying to do what I call the "relationship thing" again....
Now I find myself with a fiance, 2 kids and a dog.

I may not ever live long enough to make it 25 years together with Jeanne but she is asking (hoping) for 30.

Thank you all for your well wishes! Very Happy It is hard to believe two years have already gone by. I think planning our wedding and the actual wedding were the best time of my life second to when Paul came into my life. From the moment we met face to face, I knew he was my soulmate. Paul has taught me what it means to love and be loved, gifts most precious.

I am honored and very proud to be your wife, my Love. Our lives have changed so much for the better since the day we met. From the lyrics of our song:

" I was standing all alone against the world outside
You were searching for a place to hide
Lost and lonely, now you've given me the will to survive
When we're hungry, love will keep us alive."

I love you, Baya, for all eternity. *smooch*

Congrats to you both from the Bundy family on your special day. It is incredibly rare that two people so right for each other could find love via the 'net, no less our awesome forum. Keep love alive.

And may the honeymoon never end. Very Happy
