It's a recent score I talked about in the eBay thread and I just got a call from my apartment manager telling me it's at the office. Unfortunately, I'm at the firehouse. Fortunately, my apt. is only slightly outside of my response area. We patrol that area quite often since it's adjacent, so a trip home is no biggie. I'll probably stop by this afternoon.

I have to decide if I should take it upstairs, lay it under the tree and save it for my b'day/Xmas gift or rather should I bring it here, open it up and take some pictures. Decisions, decisions.

Cowbelling for now.

That's what I was hoping you'd say Wink

I'm thinking of listing the foam peanuts on eBay. Starting price, $80.

Yes, that's the LB20 from my avatar.

All in all, I'd categorize the condition from VGC to LN. It's good, better than many I've seen sell recently. If the seller hadn't worked with me on that rebate, I'd have filed a dispute.

I'm satisfied. I'll be even more so, when I replace that barbed wire with some flats or black tape. Just a preference.

I grabbed one of these almost two years ago and love it. It's a Made-in-Mexico natural ash Jazz Bass, Special edition (mae by Fender for Guitar Center and Musician's Friend).

I'm not a bass guitarist -- just a guitarist who can play bass, and bought this for home recording use. I couldn't be happier. It's a great playing and sounding bass.

here's mine:

They're like twins!

Mine will soon be the evil twin because I'm about to put some black strings on it.

My bass player plays one of those too. He "test drove" a whole lot of basses and just wasn't finding anything he liked nearly as much that was anywhere near the same price range.

Here are the "post-op" pics.

A comprehensive description of the operation can be seen in the builder's forum.

That does look pretty cool. I used mine again on a recent solo recording ("Charlie-O" --- the link is in the music section here). I love that dang MIM Jazz Bass. Like my KC buddy SlingBass said, 'tis a lotta bang for some tiny bucks."
