I only ask because I'm 46 years-old and I got engaged over the weekend...

Congratulations and best wishes!! Applause

It's good as long as she remembers that you met your guitars first! (My wife & I met at a gig I was playing 29+ years ago.)

Congratulations and best wishes!

EDIT: And, no, engagement isn't insane. It's the marriage part that's crazy.

Thanks for the well-wishes.

She knows very well how much I love Carvin guitars. And I know that she plays World of Warcraft. So, I guess we're equal in our obsessions. Mr. Green

I'm blessed in that my daughters are also fond of her. They know they're not getting a wicked stepmother.

Congratulations Elf, I will refrain from poking fun about WoW, something I personally can't go back to due to video game addiction issues.

Glad your daughters like her too, my father did not make such prudent choices alas.

Well, after 35 years with my wife, I'm still insane --- insanely in love with her (oh, and about the music thing -- I met my wife outside a place me and my band were getting ready to play up in Maine. I was hanging out when she and another girl, whom I knew, walked up the street. Funny, but she was 16 and too young to go inside! By time I actually saw her again and we started dating, she was 17. Bless her heart, she's still my Number One fan and lets me do my music thing).

Love is ageless. It just might take a little longer for some to find that soul-mate. It also takes a special woman to tolerate our music fetishes! Congrats.

Congratulations, Elf. I wish you and your fiance all the happiness that karma brings you.

Insane? You're a musician, ain't you? And one that likes Carvins? Yeah, you fit the bill Mr. Green

Let's just say that I'm on the north side of 50 and the 4 years that Tammy's been in my life (dating, engagement, marriage) confirm that life begins at 50. An added bonus for me is that she runs sound for most of our shows so we can share our love of music in addition to our love for each other.

Applause

Now I know I'm insane. I just noticed that I put this thread in the Guitar section and not the Off Topic section. Sorry everyone! Embarassed

Oh! Found one more pic. Here she is watching my band play last summer:
