This is a trade feeler. No sales, just trade. My two guitars for your one guitar.

I have too many guitars. While I appreciate them as art, it's kind of depressing to see ones that I have failed to connect with sit idly. Someone should be playing them. That said, here are two beautiful Carvins that I've had the privelege of owning.

First is a 1988 or 1989 DC135 that some of you might remember from this thread:
http://forums.carvinmuseum.com/viewtopic.php?t=21742
When I acquired it, it had the original carvin singles and an auful EMG. Over the years, I've played around with the PU configuration, and it now has the original singles reinstalled, along with a Seymour Duncan Screamin' Demon in the bridge position. The hardware is all back to original Carvin manufacture. Included with this guitar is a brand new Kahler hybrid (locking) tremolo that I never got around to installing. It comes with a new locking nut, since the original locking nut came to me incomplete. I never did figure out how to fix it! The guitar is heavy, with maple body sides, and a fast ebony fretboard. Beautiful red, with normal wear comensurate with an instrument of its age. It comes with the original hard case, with has a couple of dings, but in overall good condition.

Next is my 2007 V220 reissue. I ordered this as soon as Carvin announced their release. It's got less than 24 hours of play time, I'm ashamed to say. Beautiful, beautiful, but it didn't speak to me the way I hoped it would. I love this guitar. I love staring at it. It looks like it's owned by someone who loves staring at it. No buckle rash, no fret wear, no nothing. It also comes with the pristine original case, along with an unused warranty card. I can't seem to find my purchase notes, but here are the options I can recall from memory:

One piece raw maple neck, with birdseye maple fretboard
Bookmatched flame maple top, blueburst with matching headstock
High-output humbuckers, 3-way switch, push/pull coil tap
Stainless steel medium jumbo frets
Alder body sides (lightweight)
Straplock buttons, locking tuners
Badass pointy headstock with hellacious attitude

I don't need money. I want to reduce my inventory a bit, and release some joy into the world. A guitar-hoarding monster like me can't let you off easy, though. I want one guitar for these two, and I'm kind of picky. To free the hostages, here are my demands:

-Either a TL60, Fender American made Telecaster, or older pointy-headed DC with the 24.75" scale.
-No trems or tune-o-matics
-Maple fretboards only
-If a tele-style, no humbuckers.

These photos are *not good*. This is a feeler. If there is serious interest, I'll be happy to take time on some superior photography. I'm also not in a hurry to get this done. In the worst case scenario, they continue to sit. Could be worse.

FS/FT threads usually warrant some compliments, at the very least. I'll try to earn one here!

Update:

Now it's a sale. Randy sold me his Telecaster (thanks, Randy), and now I'll let these go piecemeal. Asking price including shipping on the V220 is $750, and the DC135 is $250.
