I can't believe there isn't a thread on this new bass yet. I know a few people have tried them out and ordered them. There was some mention of the one in the store being a prototype, and that they were still tweaking the pickup. That, and working on the perfect P/J combination.

That's all I know. Anybody else have details?

I believe that they are going to use an overwound J99A for the bridge pickup, as the split P pickup they are using is pretty hefty in output. they also have the HB4 pickups available as a bridge pickup. I don't know if those will have a coil tap installed.

These basses look like they will be killer.
