Hey guys,
Years ago, I bought a project guitar. It was an all mahogany DC127. My first Carvin.
The headstock had broken off in a very nasty manner. The wood was bent in all directions and it was just impossible to fix the break in a conventional method. I finally had a guy place a carbon fiber patch over a large portion of the neck. That was the only way to keep the headstock on!

Anyway......
I want a new ST300. I would love to have an all mahogany one.
I was wondering if any of you guys have a neck through Carvin with Floyd Rose and 1 piece mahogany neck?
Would the 1 piece neck be strong enough to handle a lot of whammy abuse?

any of the necks are strong enough to handle whammy abuse. That headstock didn't break from whammy abuse, it broke from it being dropped.

I have owned mahogany neck/body guitars with floyds for eons and never had a problem. Your DC127 likely had a micro fracture from a fall. Not all cracks are visible. I's be 100% confident in buying the ST300 of your dreams. It sill last a lifetime as long as you don't drop it. Sadly no wood is "drop proof". -Unless you want a Parker Fly but then you's have to look at it every time you play and nobody wants that.
