Hello and thank you for allowing me to join. I have a Carvin DC 400 which was made for Fred Newell and was used personally by him on The Nashville Network, Nashville Now, The Ralph Emery Show, or on recording sessions (validated by a certificate of authenticity), Please feel free to check the pictures and all inquires are welcome. Along with the guitar comes the original hard shelled Carvin case, the certificate of authenticity signed by Fred Newell himself, and the 1991 Carvin Guitar catalog. Let's talk! I'm looking for around $4500.00 OBO for all of it. For that price as well I believe I could go ahead and cover the shipping and insurance on it so everyone is covered. If that sounds reasonable then let me know. Thank you for your time and consideration. This really is a beautiful piece.

No offense meant by my post here but this exact model used usually sells for around $400-500 dollars max, and as Fred Newell is someone that most people have never even heard of...his ownership of it doesn't really add any value.

You're asking about 10 times what that guitar is worth...

I kind of agree...never heard of the guy until this ad was posted, and I searched online for information. I still have not heard him play.

It might be a good sell for a fan of his, but that wouldn't be me, and I'd probably pay $550 tops, but I'm admittedly frugal.

Maybe some "Nashville Now" fan will pay a little more....and even though he is somewhat famous he really isn't....we have lots of guitarist on this board who have played in front of crowds and recorded....that doesn't increase the value of our guitars.............unless the guy has a few gold or platinum records the guitar isn't worth anymore then any other DC400. Just my two cents.

joshuamcdowell, I don't think you're going to get that asking price here. Ever.

If you went with what others suggested (based on actual sales here), you'd sell it in no time. Heck, I might jump on it for $500. If you're dead-set on the initial asking price, you're going to have marginally better luck on the bay or reverb, reaching a much larger audience.

Outside of that, I bid you good luck, as well. Please understand that none of us mean you disrespect, but we are a blunt group sometimes.
